Abstract

(Excerpt)

There has been much discussion recently over how best to integrate technology into the classroom to meet the needs of our students, many of whom use computers, the Internet, and other technology to take notes, draft and revise assignments, and conduct research. Before exploring what technology to use to teach, we must first decide how to use technology in the classroom in a way that will benefit our students. Just because students rarely use pen and paper does not mean that they now learn differently. Thus, we might not need to dramatically change our teaching methods, especially when teaching through technology has definite drawbacks.
